12 November 2004 At Het Wilde Weten
The Counter/Cartography Lab was organised in collaboration with members of CCRED (Collective CREative Dissent). Taking the local terrain of Rotterdam as a reference, this lab made an impromptu cartography of different artistic and activist strategies of engaging with a given urban, social and political order.
Based on the discussions of the evening, there was a series of walks around the city. These tours highlighted relevant examples of urban development, art in public space and community projects. One of these was a guided tour through the center of Rotterdam, courtesy of Jetske de Boer, representative of the Staatsorgaan voor Toekomst Organisatie en Planning, (The Governmental Agency for Future, Organization and Planning).
